Steven Marlay, DVM

Veterinarian
Veterinarian and owner, Dr. Steven Marlay grew up in Southern Maryland, attended the U.S. Naval Academy, and served in Vietnam before graduating from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine. Passionate, attentive, and charitable, he has built his exemplary career on consistently providing the best, most affordable pet care possible.

In addition to his lifelong love of animals, Dr. Marlay enjoys sailing, traveling, reading, writing poetry, and finding creative ways to lend a helping hand. When he's not in the office, Dr. Marlay spends his free time with friends and family, including his 4 children, 7 grandchildren, and 2 rescue dogs, Ruby and Moses.

Melissa Becker, DVM MPH

Veterinarian
Dr. Melissa Becker joined the Eastside team as a veterinary assistant in 2007. While working closely with the doctors and staff for six years, she obtained her B.S. in Biology and a Masters in Public Health from Armstrong Atlantic State University. From there, Dr. Becker attended St. George University School of Veterinary Medicine and UGA. Ultimately, she returned to Eastside and made Savannah her forever home. 

Melissa's professional interests include internal medicine, dermatology, dentistry, and soft tissue surgery. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, going to the beach, running, and spending time with her husband Dave, her cats Thunderbear and Squishy, and her dogs Ada, Allie, and Ken Griffey.
